Founder. Represent clients before the Federal Communications Commission, Federal Trade Commission and other agencies. Negotiate technology agreements, including radio spectrum buy/sell, spectrum leasing, licensing.
2006 to 2016: outside regulatory counsel to Sensus USA Inc., a major smart grid company that uses proprietary wireless technology over licensed frequencies. Represented Sensus in acquiring technology and FCC licenses for $45 million in 2006. Instituted the largest spectrum leasing program at the FCC on behalf of Sensus. Represented Sensus in its sale to Xylem Inc. for $1.7 billion in 2016.
Associate attorney promoted to counsel. Represented clients before the FCC, advised on financing of telecommunications and media companies, negotiated telecom services agreements.
Associate attorney. Advised on FCC licensing and compliance for wireless radio systems. Filed FCC license applications.
